Hi All!  Last year the SFTF began to develop a strong relationship with the Latino performing community that has solidified and grown into a happy partnership.  We’re happy and proud to be hosting 7, yes 7 fabulous artists from Mexico in this year’s Festival. 

AND, this new partnership is about to explode into one of the most exciting projects the SF Theater Festival has ever embarked upon.  What could it be?  Well, I’m not quite ready to tell you but I can say that it may offer some of SF’s finest theater performers the opportunity to get some warm southern sun this November.

OK.  All the planning and most of the preparation is done.  We’ve lined up an incredible group of theater artists who will perfrom 135 shows in 15 venues all in just 6 hours! 

Now, we need your help!!   Tell everyone you know about this great summer festival in downtown San Francisco that is fun, festive & FREE! 

AND…  We REALLY need help letting everyone know about the Saturday night performances and about the kick-off party on Friday night too!  If you get an invitation to the party, pass it along to someone else; if you don’t get an invitation and would like one, send an e-mail to kelli@sftheaterfestival.org and ask for one.  I’m more than happy to send you one.

I’ve just uploaded our new PSA to YouTube.  It makes the festival look wonderful which, of course, isn’t difficult given that it’s FANTASTIC!

We’re looking for people who’d like to volunteer to help us this year. It’s a really fun way to spend a Sunday in August!! We have three shifts, 8a – 11:30a, 11a – 3p & 2:30p – 6:30p. You get to see a bunch of great theater, hang out with really fun people AND a free lunch and a t-shirt!!  If you’d like to volunteer send an e-mail to kelli@sftheaterfestival.org. Have you ever watched a flash mob on YouTube and thought, “I’d love to do that!”  The SFTF is looking for lots of people who want to participate in a flash-mob-type Shakespeare experience, built around the “All the world’s a stage” quote from As You Like It, during the festival on August 8th sometime between 11:45 and 12:45.  If you are interested, please send an e-mail to kelli@sftheaterfestival.org  with the words Flash Mob in the subject line and we’ll include you on our Project II, vii team.
