Show Your Art!
The SF Theater Festival invites Bay Area (and beyond) artists to exhibit your work at the exciting new Street Fair accompanying this years annual festival. Over 10,000 people attend the Festival. In addition to performances on 14 stages, this year’s Street Fair will include visual arts and an art show.
The art show is open to all artists who exhibit and sell work in all media. Artists may submit only their own original work.
As the first year of the Street Fair, we are waiving any fees for artist booths. It is completely free for you to attend, exhibit and sell your art to the community.
The individual exhibitor will handle all sales. No commission will be taken.
Date: Sunday, September 30, 2012
Street Fair Hours: 11:00am – 5:00pm
Load-in time: 10:00am
Load-out time: 5:30pm
Note: Exhibitors must be completely set up by 11:00am, and may not strike their displays until after 5:00pm.
Location: 1 block of Ellis Street, between Leavenworth and Hyde Streets
The Art Show will be arranged as 10’x10’ booths, artists will be given display space either 2 per booth or 1 per booth, as space allows.
Booths will include:
- Dowel racks for displaying art along 3 walls of each booth (on the application you can waive the display racks)

Wed, Sept 19, 2012 – Online artist application deadline
Friday, Sept 21, 2012 – Artist notification of acceptance
Thursday, Sept 27, 2012 – Artist acceptance and contract deadline
Thursday, Sept 27, 2012 – Last day to decline space
Friday, Sept 28, 2012 Artist notification of booth assignments, space allocation and set-up times
Sunday, Sept 30, 2012 – Day of Art Show!
No commercial molds, manufactured or mass-produced artwork will be accepted. Only artwork that is representative of the images submitted may be displayed.
We reserve the right to remove from the art fair any work which does not comply with community standards for a family oriented event. We reserve the right to remove any exhibitor for violation of any other regulations.
Exhibitors are responsible for collecting all required state and county sales taxes and submit them to the proper authorities.
